ITunes can convert M4Ps into MP3s provided they are not PROTECTED M4Ps. For instance, when I download mp3's (such as some motivational programs I have purchased), I have to convert them to AIFF (a Mac format) for them to burned to an audio CD. Shouldn't you be able to convert your iTunes songs to another format? I would look for an application to convert them to a usuable format. Pps) yes, I was able to find some mp3's elsewhere, which worked fine on Audacity. Ps) when I downloaded iTunes, I did download the Windows XP version, as I have a PC. A tech friend of mine checked it out and said it was iTunes is an m4p format, which is uncompatable to Audacity working only with mp3's. I went to edit some music I had in my iTunes library and couldn't get them to work or even download over to Audacity.
